Father Patrick Riviere, Pastor

Father Patrick was born In Thibodaux on June 22, 1992, to Robert and Mary Riviere. He graduated from E.D. White High School in 2010 and graduated from Nicholls State University in 2014 before attending Notre Dame Seminary, graduating with a Master of Arts in Theological Studies in 2019.  Father Patrick was ordained a Catholic priest on June 1, 2019.  He has served the diocese as associate pastor at St. Thomas Aquinas in 2019 and at Holy Cross in 2020. In 2022, he was assigned to Our Lady of Prompt Succor in Chackbay as its administrator. He has also served as a liaison in the Office of Parish Support for several years. Additionally, he served in the Office of the Bishop under Bishop Dorsonville, and still provided service to the Office of the Bishop in a limited capacity as he began as the administrator of Holy Cross on July 1, 2024. He also serves as chaplain for Central Catholic. In 2025, Bishop Simon Peter named him as Pastor of Holy Cross Parish.

Mary Streva Guidry, Administrative Assistant

Mary Guidry provides support and overall management of the parish office operations. Mary and her husband Bubba Guidry both graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1976. They have one daughter, Stephanie Stanley, a staff member at Central Catholic, and one grandson, Reid.


Kellye Patterson, Youth Formation and Safe Environment Coordinator

Kellye oversees the parish Youth Formation efforts, including Elementary, Junior High, and High School Formation, preparation for First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation, Children’s Liturgy, and Vacation Bible School.


Barbara Flowers, Bookkeeper

Barbara oversees the finances of the parish and is able to assist with donations, contribution statements, and other financial matters.
