Father Mike Tran

Pastor

​Father Mike was born on February 25, 1974 in Long Khanh, Vietnam. He came to Richmond, Virginia at the age of 7, with five siblings, two brothers and three sisters. Father Mike moved to Louisiana in 1989 and graduated from Morgan City High School in 1992. He received his Bachelor degree at St. Joseph Seminary College in Covington followed by a Master of Divinity degree at Notre Dame Seminary. Father Mike was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux on August 10, 2002. He previously served the diocese at St. Genevieve, Our Lady of the Isle, St. Mary’s Nativity Church and Annunziata Church in Houma. He began a six year term here at Holy Cross on July 1, 2021.

Mary Streva Guidry, Administrative Assistant

Mary Guidry provides support and overall management of the parish office operations. Mary and her husband Bubba Guidry both graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1976. They have one daughter, Stephanie Stanley, a teacher at Central Catholic Elementary, and one grandson, Reid.

Father Francis Kayaye

Associate Pastor

Father Francis, a native of Uganda, was born on May 7, 1966 as the 5th child of eight children. He was ordained to the priesthood on January 23, 1999. Since ordination, he has served in various capacities, including Pastor, Diocesan Director of Pastoral Services, Director of the Catechists Formation Center, and Diocesan Education Secretary. In addition to Seminary academic qualifications in Philosophy and Theology, Father Francis earned a Licentiate in Pastoral Theology from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa, Nairobi, Kenya. He previously served the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux as associate pastor of St. Bernadette in Houma. Father Francis came to Holy Cross on February 7. 2022.
